STEP 1 Download Digital Space Traveler client 2.03  or DSTC 2.03 is working well.  Un-install the earlier version of Digital Space Traveler and install the new one

STEP 2  run Install Digital Space Traveler..... you will need to reboot.

on XP If you have trouble RUN THE WIN 98 COMPATABILITY

STEP 3 on the old ver Things I do to improve Traveler

• Edit/settings/sound active when not in traveler (check box).....so you can hear while you invest millions on the web.
  

• Edit/settings/cache/never......will make traveling faster (the rooms load from the hard drive not the server) and if the art file server goes down you can get in. Fixed
  

• Edit/settings/connection/28.8....will give you less braking up.22k is all you need
  

• Click on the little slider in the tray at the bottom right corner of your screen it opens up detail=0 / sound buffer = 1000 / save as default / load default/ minimize....smooth sound!
  

• Reduce window to 1/4 of the screen.... faster frame rate, quicker movement and gives you room for the map and list and ICQ.
  

• Turn off screen saver and background graphics....... slows down everything not just traveler.
  

• I run the  locate/list of who is in this room/and the map....so I can tell who is talking, and who is where.
  

• Turn off web browser and anything else like word, games , CD player, EGM, etc ....this will make for faster traveling once you are there you can edit and play all you want.
  

• You can speed/ease your traveling time by adding each room to your favorites you can also enter the rooms through your cache files in program files/Onlive/cache/then the folder to the server you wish to access or in Traveler by going to file/open/cache/then the folder you wish to access.  All your cached rooms will be in the appropriate folders.
  

• 10-3 from Realman and BARTMOSS : To display a false IP....Start Traveler ***BEFORE*** you connect to your internet provider. when u start traveler. the avatar selection window comes up...THEN connect to your Provider...THEN click the "Go Onlive" button...this will display the IP 127.0.0.1 as your IP....(Privacy at last:)

  Set Traveler to launch without a Web browser. Insert:  BypassSelectAnAvatar=-1
  at the end of the [Browser]
  section of the OnLive.ini file
  ( usually located in the c:/Windows/OnLive.ini ).

• If you are stuck in once per on your cache setting and the Calax server goes down edit:
  (cache) section of the OnLive.ini file
  ( usually located in the c:/Windows/onlive.ini ).

• -3 will not cache in new avatars or rooms but is much faster I believe this was discovered by NICE DUDE

  To change your collision sound to something more agreeable, open your windows explorer and go to
  C:\Program Files\OnLive\CACHE\calx.onlive.com\lib2a\wavs
  find and replace collisn.wav

• wav file needs to be replaced with a file of the same name : )

  Collison wavs :  collisn.wav 32k if you want the files right click the link and save target as...
  Exit.wavs : goodbye.... good bye. (11k) - be back ....I'll be back. (9k)

• To correct frequent illegal operations of the Traveler browser, check the details of the illegal operation and find out which .DLL that is crashing.  Then if it is available below, download it and put it in your OnLive folder located in C:\program files\OnLive.  If it is not available below, please contact us and we will try to provide this for you or you can try to find them on the web. from OzGate : olcodec.dll - mfc42.dll - msvcrt.dll

To avoid spreading computer viruses, create a contact in your email address book with the name !0000 (or similar) with no email address in the details. This contact will then show up as your first contact in your book. If a virus attempts to do a "send all" on your contact list, your PC will put up an error message saying that "The Message could not be sent. One or more recipients do not have an e-mail address. Please check your Address Book and make sure all the recipients have a valid e-mail address." You click on OK and the offending (virus) message would not have been sent to anyone. Of course no changes have been made to your original contacts list. The offending (virus) message may then be automatically stored in your "Drafts" or "Outbox" folder. Go in there and delete the offending message. Problem is solved and virus is not spread. Then go to House Call Virus Test and search and destroy
